Vinny Magalhaes left his gloves inside the Octagon at UFC 163, leaving many to wonder if he was done as it came after a 14 second knockout loss to Anthony Perosh.
“I have one more fight left in my contract, but we all know that it doesn’t mean much and there’s a chance that I get cut,” said Magalhaes to MSN. “Before this fight I said I deserved to get cut if I didn’t win. I’m waiting for UFC’s decision, anything can happen, but I really don’t care, man.”
If the UFC does cut Magalhaes, it won’t be anything new. He was released by the promotion in 2009 for going 0-2. He returned in 2012 and took his first UFC win. Before the early loss to Perosh, Magalhaes dropped a decision to Phil Davis at UFC 159.
So far, Magalhaes is still employed by the UFC.
