Cage Warriors is playing it safe as they prepare for a one day, four-person bantamweight tournament by adding an alternate bout. The winner of two tournament fights at Cage Warriors 59 becomes the new champion.
The alternate fight has Aaron Blackwell vs. Kris Edwards.
After a two year hiatus, Blackwell returned with three straight wins. He has seven stoppages to his name.
Edwards is 2-2 for Cage Warriors and is returning from flyweight. He’ll enter off a split-decision setback from Shajidul Haque.
Cage Warriors 59 is September 14 from the Motorpoint Arena in England. The main card streams on MMA Junkie with prelims at Facebook. The tournament sees David Haggstrom vs. Brett Johns and Martin McDonough vs. James Pennington.
