UFC 164: Henderson vs. Pettis main event will be a rematch of the last fight to take place in the WEC cage. Pettis’ Showtime kick in the last round was the highlight of the fight.
Bellator’s undefeated lightweight champion just blasted through the tough David Rickels at Bellator 97 to bring in his twelfth win in his pro career.
Chandler thinks the outcome of Henderson versus Pettis could play out differently this time around.
“With the Henderson-Pettis fight I would go with Ben Henderson nine time out of ten. I think he’s bigger, he’s more complete. Pettis has a phenomenal striking game, but I don’t see how he’s gonna beat Ben Henderson. Henderson will be able to pick him up, take him down and hold him there if he wants to because he’s the bigger fighter, he’s the wrestler.”
Henderson has won seven fights since their initial meeting in Dec. 2010. Pettis, on the other hand, hasn’t been able to keep an active fighting schedule only holding a 3-1 record since he grazed the current UFC champ with that crazy kick off the cage.
