When it comes to coaches, Ronda Rousey is certain Miesha Tate has nothing on her. The two recently finished taping The Ultimate Fighter (TUF), which airs this fall.
“Miesha spent a lot of her time worrying about how she looked and not the fighters,” said Rousey during a media tour. “I know that personally from talking to my fighters and her fighters. It was a very open forum.”
These two have been arguing since their original encounter under the Strikeforce name. Then, Rousey defeated Tate for the women’s bantamweight championship, which was later promoted to the UFC.
Since joining the UFC, each has fought once. Rousey took another first round armbar opposite Liz Carmouche and Tate dropped Fight of the Night to Cat Zingano.
They’re the co-main event of UFC 168 on December 28. It comes from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV and closes out the year.
