UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo didn’t make any radical demands following another successful title defense Saturday night at UFC 163: Aldo vs. Korean Zombie.
Aldo finished off Chan Sung Jung in the fourth round of a fight he was winning on all the scorecards, extending his current win streak to 16.
So, what is next for Aldo? A move to lightweight, as most have predicted?
“I don’t know,” he said, during the post-fight show on FUEL TV. “That’s up to (UFC matchmaker) Joe Silva, but I would move up to 155.”
Aldo has stated in the past that his ever-growing body will eventually force a move to lightweight, but his coaches spoke this past week about his most recent weight-cut being the best of his career.
The Brazilian likely suffered a foot injury when he landed his first kick on “The Korean Zombie,” forcing him to change his game plan on the fly.
