Anthony Perosh is a wizard on the ground, much like his UFC 163: Aldo vs. Korean Zombie opponent Vinny Magalhaes.
However, Perosh decided to showcase his striking game Saturday night, dropping Magalhaes and finishing him in just 14 seconds in the prelim main event on FX.
“I showed my stand up,” Perosh said. “I wanted the fight and everyone underestimated my (Brazilian jiu-jitsu).”
The 40-year-old, who missed several months after suffering a gruesome toe injury in training, improved to 4-2 in his UFC career and 14-7 overall.
Magalhaes dropped to 10-7 and just 1-4 in his Octagon career, including two straight losses.
