Vaughn Anderson Fought Better Competition Than War Machine

Vaughn Anderson is honored that Bellator noticed his nine years of fighting across Asia and allowed him access into their Season 9 welterweight tournament. He does so against one of the favorites War Machine.

“It is a huge honor to fight in the welterweight tournament, but War will not be the best fighter I have faced by far,” said Anderson to MMA Weekly. “He does some things well, but not only am I a better fighter, I am well prepared to fight his kind of fight.”

Nicknamed “Blud,” Anderson is 16-1 with the loss being in 2007. 13 of his wins haven’t made it into round two. His Bellator debut is his first action since May 2012.

War Machine has been in and out of jail the last two years. He made quick work of Blas Avena in his Bellator debut.

Bellator 100 is September 20 and serves all welterweight quarterfinal action. It comes from the Grand Canyon University Arena in Phoenix, AZ.
