World Series of Fighting (WSOF) president Ray Sefo has taken part in nearly 90 combat sport fights, with majority being in kickboxing. After a two plus year MMA hiatus, Sefo is certain his WSOF 4 fight with Dave Huckaba will be his final one.
“I never retired from the game,” said Sefo during the WSOF 4 media call. “I’m 99.9 percent that this is my last fight. I have a great team in the office.”
Sefo is 2-1 in MMA, losing to Valentijn Overeem for Strikeforce in his last appearance. In kickboxing, he’s 58-21 and returned last year with a loss to Mirko Filipovic. He’s currently having his staff help run the upcoming show as he’s training.
Huckaba is 20-5 and a Gladiator Challenge heavyweight champion. He’s finished nearly all his fights, last taking a submission win over Carter Williams in January.
WSOF 4 is August 10 from the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA. The main card, which has Sefo-Huckaba, airs live on the NBC Sports Network.
