Joe Riggs Vows Retirement If He Doesn’t Win Fight Master

Fight Master top seed Joe Riggs apparently will retire if he can’t win the show after speaking with his wife.

“We both agreed: If I go on this show and it doesn’t pan out the way I know it can, if I don’t go on the show and win it, then I’m going to retire,” said Riggs to Sherdog. “You’ve got to find out if I retire or not. I might have to retire after this whole thing’s over or I might just keep going on.”

Riggs spent years in the UFC and Strikeforce with a failed title opportunity. He struggled with drug issues that have since been resolved and he’s 39-14.

On Wednesday’s Fight Master, Riggs took the decision over Nick Scallan to remain in the show.
