UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey can’t explain her exact reason for giving Miesha Tate the middle finger at a recent media event as their season of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) is yet to air. Judging by their past, the action shouldn’t have come as a shock.
“You have to realize me and Miesha already finished filming TUF, so no one really knows where we left off, but we do,” said Rousey to MMA Fighting. “I can’t really allude to why, but she’s never gonna have an Armenia fan again. That’s kind of why I like her less and it’s very noticeable. It definitely didn’t come out of nowhere. You have to watch the show to understand.”
It was in 2012 under the Strikeforce name when Rousey defeated Tate for the belt. It was promoted to the UFC roster before the year ended.
Tate lost to Cat Zingano, but an injury allowed her to take the TUF spot.
TUF returns to airwaves this fall. Rousey-Tate is the co-main event of UFC 168 on December 28. It comes from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
