Jacob Noe Uncertain How Heat With Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal Started

Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal has been outspoken as the 2013 Summer Series concludes with Bellator 97. The former Strikeforce champion called Jacob Noe a fake fighter along with several other nasty names. Noe isn’t certain where the anger is coming from.

“It’s one of two things,” said Noe to Bloody Elbow. “Either he’s really upset or maybe he’s worried about it. Maybe he’s a little scared, or doesn’t know how to feel about it? I’ve got nothing personal against the guy, so I don’t see how he can badmouth me. I haven’t done anything, you know?”

The two meet in the finals of a four person light heavyweight tournament.

Lawal was considered a favorite to win Season 8 before being knocked out in the semifinals. He took a round one stoppage at Bellator 96 to make the finals.

The same card saw Noe get a third round finish on veteran Renato Sobral.

Bellator 97 is later today from the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, NM. Spike TV airs the main card, which also features the lightweight and welterweight titles being defended.
