Aaron Riley, a 16-year veteran of MMA, has retired from active competition. He made his decision known via Twitter Saturday night.
Riley (30-14-1) was defeated by Justin Salas at UFC on FOX: Johnson vs. Moraga from Seattle.
“Fight my last MMA fight (Saturday),” he wrote. “It’s been fun, but after 16 years I’m calling it good. Thanks to everyone who ever supported my career.”
Riley posted a 3-6 record competing for the UFC. The 32-year-old was involved in several “fan-friendly” battles over the year.
