Liz Carmouche gave Ronda Rousey all she could handle for just about five minutes earlier this year when the two collided in the first-ever female fight inside the Octagon.
Saturday night, Carmouche earned her first UFC win, defeating Jessica Andrade at UFC on FOX: Johnson vs. Moraga.
Rousey, who submitted Carmouche in that first meeting, is set to defend her title in December vs. Miesha Tate.
“Girlilla” feels like she has done enough to earn a rematch, telling the FUEL TV post-fight show “I hope I’m the No. 1 contender now, but it’s up to Dana White and Rousey. I still want to fight for the title.”
White, later in the program, stated that “I love Liz, but let’s slow down a little bit.”
