Demetrious Johnson Interested In Super-Fights Within UFC

UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson earned his second title defense Saturday night, stopping John Moraga in the fifth round with an armbar at UFC on FOX: Johnson vs. Moraga.

So, what is next for “Mighty Mouse?” Well, he talked with FUEL TV about that very subject.

“For me, I’m all about taking on challenge,” Johnson said. “I think there would be some good super fights with different weight classes in the lighter divisions.”

The bantamweight championship is currently held by Dominick Cruz and Renan Barao. Cruz remains injured, and Barao has secured the interim title. At featherweight, Jose Aldo is king, and defends his belt this Saturday vs. Chan Sung Jung at UFC 163: Aldo vs. Korean Zombie.

There are also fighters such as Urijah Faber, Michael McDonald and Scott Jorgensen at bantamweight. At flyweight, Johnson has previously bested the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked fighters in Joseph Benavidez and John Dodson.
