Due to Tim Means not making weight, this contest will take place at 160 pounds instead of lightweight. Danny Castillo (15-5) has posted a 4-1 record in his last five, while Means (18-4-1) steps in for Bobby Green. Means is 10-1 with one no-contest in his last 12.

Round 1: Castillo works quickly to bring this one to the ground, negating the reach advantage of Means, who fires back with powerful, sharp elbows from the ground. Means working hard to get to his feet, which he does, but Castillo has the clinch and brings him right back to the ground. One hook in for Castillo, as Means drops and rolls out. Means lands, sending Castillo back, and throws his hands in the air. Just like that, Castillo with a power takedown.

Round 2: Means stuffs the takedown and lands a nasty knee to the face. Castillo struggling to close the distance and get inside for a takedown, but he does land a nice right instead. Overhand right from Castillo, who is getting the better of the striking game in this round. Trip takedown, but Means moves directly into full-guard with a body triangle locked in.

Round 3: Castillo catching Means when he comes in, using his speed to his advantage. Means trying to bait Castillo in, but he’ll have none of that. Castillo appears to be fighting like he knows he is up on the scorecards, and he eats a knee. Back to the takedown game, as Castillo gets it with a trip. Means, though, rolls through and winds up on top with a minute left. In side control, landing knees to the body, and looking to advance. Huge left hand lands, but Castillo is able to get up and out.
