A battle of lightweights with great nicknames is up next with Yves “Thugjitsu Master” Edwards (42-19-1) taking on Daron “The Detroit Superstar” Cruickshank (12-3). Keeping things in line will be referee Steve Newport.

Round 1: Cruickshank took this fight on short notice, replacing Spencer Fisher. Big head kick, just a glancing blow, lands by Cruickshank. Edwards shows his skills, firing a head kick of his own off. Edwards catches him against the fence and lands several strikes. Some sound glitches, as feed from the Julie Kedzie-Germaine de Randamie bout keeps getting piped in. Edwards controlling the center of the Octagon, pushing the pace, but Cruickshank has been the more effective striker. Smooth wheel kick just misses by Cruickshank.

Round 2: More of the same from these two in round two, as Cruickshank lands the heavier strikes, but Edwards continues to control the action.
