On the last episode of Fight Master, Mike Bronzoulis tired out Jason Norwood for the third round win to advance in the show. Though neither fighter was on Frank Shamrock’s team, the former UFC light heavyweight champion saw the match resemble his UFC 22 outing with Tito Ortiz.
“I knew he didn’t have the vascular strength to go at the speed I was going to go at and I knew I did,” said Shamrock to MMA Fighting. “I knew once he crossed that line, he couldn’t go back. He was going to crumble. It just goes back to conditioning as your biggest weapon.”
On that occasion, Shamrock defended his belt in Fight of the Year for 1999.
Fight Master airs on Wednesday with the winning welterweight getting a future tournament spot. The other coaches include former UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture, former Bellator featherweight champion Joe Warren and well-known coach Greg Jackson.
