Back at UFC 57 Joe Riggs took a decision over Nick Diaz. The two visited the same hospital post-fight where a brawl ensued.
Riggs lost half his tooth to go with his broken hands he suffered in the win. Diaz, according to Riggs, had a gash on his head and bloody nose.
“I couldn’t even enjoy the win,” said Riggs to Sports Illustrated. “He knocked me down. I’ll give him that, but I wasn’t looking his way and didn’t expect it. He’s f—–g crazy. Who would punch somebody at a hospital? I wouldn’t. That guy’s nuts.”
Diaz’s MMA future isn’t certain. He ran his first show as a promoter at WAR MMA in June. The former UFC welterweight title contender mentioned the show might have been a onetime deal.
Riggs lost in his Bellator debut. He then needed several wins to land a spot on Fight Master. He’s a member of team Greg Jackson.
