Fallon Fox has a date for her Championship Fighting Alliance (CFA) women’s featherweight title shot. She meets Ashlee Evans-Smith in the finals of a tournament for the belt and $20,000.
Once Fox made it to the semifinals, it was revealed she was the first known transgender fighter. After some debate, Fox was kept in the tournament. She finished her last two opponents.
Evans-Smith turned pro for CFA. As an amateur, she was 5-4 and her pro debut was a win over Tori Adams.
CFA 12 is October 12. No venue was announced though they’ve run their past eight events from the BankUnited Center in Coral Gables, FL.
