Former Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson withdrew a request to use TRT prior to a fight with Rashad Evans at UFC 161: Evans vs. Henderson.
When the Manitoba Combative Sports Commission revealed that no therapeutic-use exemptions were granted, it was puzzling because Henderson (29-9) had previously used TRT.
“It didn’t look like they would approve it, so I just quit taking the testosterone,” said Henderson, in an interview with MMAjunkie.com. “I stopped about six-to-eight weeks out. I wasn’t using that much, anyway.”
Henderson lost to Evans via decision, dropping his UFC record to 6-3 overall.
