Frank Shamrock Makes Cornerman Debut On Fight Master

Frank Shamrock was nervous and having fun as he entered the role of head cornerman for the first time on Fight Master.

“I’ve wandered in and out of corners in recent years, but that was less for coaching and more for morale,” said Shamrock to MMA Fighting. “So it was the first time in a long time that I was head cornerman and running the corner team. I felt like I was 25 years old.”

The episode started with Shamrock selecting Joe Williams as his final team member. He was eliminated earlier in the show, but an injury resulted in a second chance.

Williams faced Mike Dubois in the first official fight of the final 16. In round one, Williams put the fight on the ground and took the back for the rear-naked choke. Williams is now in the quarterfinals.

Fighter Master airs on Wednesday with a 10 p.m. ET start time.
