Dan Hardy’s MMA career is on hold at the moment, and possibly finished, since being diagnosed with Wolff Heart. The welterweight knows surgery is an option, but is making that a last priority.
“I’ll only get that surgery if it becomes a necessity,” said Hardy to Bloody Elbow. “If at some point in my life, it becomes harmful to me, or I develop bad symptoms, I might consider it. I’ve done all of these things in my life up to this point, without an issue. There’s no logic to going in and getting it done, because it just doesn’t need doing.”
In April, Hardy was removed from UFC on FOX 7 when the disease was discovered.
Hardy’s second consultation with doctors didn’t lead to many answers. He hasn’t spoken to UFC president Dana White since meeting with the second doctor and recently missed a talk with Lorenzo Fertitta.
