Ed West Splits With Bellator

Bellator has mutually parted ways with Ed West. The Bellator fighter called the split agreeable for both sides and is now searching the free agent market.

“I spent three years with Bellator and I had a really good time with them,” said West to MMA Junkie. “It’s just not time for me to seal the deal yet on all the options that I might have in my career. I’m just really thankful for the time I had with Bellator. Bjorn Rebney always told me he’s enjoyed watching me fight, and I’m welcome back anytime I want.”

West competed in three Bellator bantamweight tournaments, but never won. His best performance was making it to the finals during Season 3. He was 4-3 for them and last took a knockout over Josh Montoya at Bellator 91 in February.

The 29-year-old is 18-7 overall with several fights out of Texas and Arizona.
