UFC fighters will continue to battle for an extra $50,000, as UFC president Dana White has decided to keep fight-night bonuses part of cards.
Some fighters complained about base salaries, and White mentioned getting rid of the bonus money as a way to offer fighters more money.
However, after talking with several members of the active roster, officials made the call to keep both finish bonuses and discretionary bonuses in play.
“The fighters want the finish bonuses,” White said. “So, that’s that.”
Last month, James Krause earned two bonuses, picking up $100,000. His base pay was a total of $12,000, giving him a significant chunk of change to bring home.
