Running a promotion and preparing to fight on an upcoming card is a heavy load, so World Series of Fighting (WSOF) president Ray Sefo has allowed his staff to handle the upcoming event as his MMA return draws near. Since the WSOF’s inception in November of last year, Sefo has held the role of president.
“I’m fortunate to have an outstanding team at World Series of Fighting, which I know will handle our operations while I’m gone,” said Sefo. “And after my fight, I’ll step back into my role as World Series of Fighting president.”
Sefo hasn’t competed in MMA in over two years and had a short career. He was 2-1, with the loss coming from Valentijn Overeem. He was more active in kickboxing and lasted saw action in 2012.
In Sefo’s return, he’s got Dave Huckaba. The heavyweight is 20-5 and has fought mostly from California.
Their on the main card of WSOF 4, which airs live on the NBC Sports Network. It’s August 10 from the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, CA.
