When UFC flyweight Demetrious Johnson enters the Octagon later this month, he should do so as a father.
“Mighty Mouse” will defend his title against John Moraga at UFC on FOX: Johnson vs. Moraga from Seattle’s KeyArena.
Johnson and his wife are expecting a child, and they have dubbed the arrival as the “Mighty Baby.”
“‘Mighty Baby’ should be here any minute,” Johnson said. “There’s no added pressure (to being a father). I am happy, and everything has stayed the same. I approach this as it is my job, my career; I have to be focused, go in there and defend.”
Johnson, who was forced to postpone the bout due to a shoulder injury earlier this year, added that the “recovery has gone great. My training camp has been 12 weeks (combining both camps). The shoulder is feeling 100-percent.”
