Leonard Garcia’s first fight since his UFC release comes from Legacy FC where he plans for the knockout win. This Friday, the former UFC fighter has a chance to get his name back in the spotlight by becoming their featherweight No. 1 contender.
“Being able to go into an organization and try to become a No. 1 contender right away, it gives me my hunger back and I want to go fight for the title again,” said Garcia on Inside MMA.
He takes on Reynaldo Trujillo in the co-main event of Legacy 21. Trujillo is no stranger to Legacy FC and has two first round wins this year.
Garcia was cut by the UFC after his fifth straight loss. He was 1-5 for them and found better luck for WEC.
Legacy FC 21 is July 19 from the Arena Theater in Houston, TX.
