Former Ultimate Fighter winner Ross Pearson has a perfect next opponent and mind – and he even has a date circled on the calendar.
Pearson has called out Takanori Gomi for a meeting in October when the UFC returns to Manchester, England. The main event is expected to feature middleweights Mark Munoz and Michael Bisping.
“Bisping vs. Munoz main event at M.E.N. i would love Pearson vs Gomi co-main what u think,” the Brit posted on Twitter recently.
Pearson (15-6) has won two straight since a decision to return to lightweight last year. That includes a pair of finishes over Ryan Couture and George Sotiropoulos.
Gomi (34-9) had his two-fight win streak snapped by Diego Sanchez in Japan this past March via split decision. He is 5-4 in his last nine overall.
