Invicta FC returned with the promise of their first featherweight champion being named. They didn’t lie as Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos took the title opposite Marloes Coenen.
The action started quick and it was all Santos. By the fourth round, a tired Coenen refused to stop so the referee did so for her. It makes Santos 2-0 with Coenen, as the other win came under the Strikeforce name.
Tamikka Brents vs. Ediane Gomes was canceled after Brents suffered a knee injury during warm-ups.
Invicta FC 6 came from Kansas City, MO’s Ameristar Casino Hotel. It was yesterday, July 13, and aired on pay-per-view.
