RFA 9 To Determine New Bantamweight Champion

Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA) holds their first show from California, with a bantamweight title fight. It’s headlined with Pedro Munhoz vs. Keoni Koch for the vacant belt.

“I am so excited to bring the RFA to Los Angeles and to give fans in my hometown this championship title fight between undefeated Pedro Munhoz and undefeated Keoni Koch,” said RFA President Ed Soares. “This fight not only gives the winner the RFA world bantamweight title, he also gets to prove on live national television that he’s one of the toughest rising stars in the division.”

Munhoz needed 11 seconds to finish Mitch Jackson at the last RFA event. He was to have met Koch on that card before he fell to injury, pushing the title fight to a later date. He’s 2-0 for the promotion.

Koch returned to the sport in April after a three year layoff for his fifth win. At 5-0, only the latest fight didn’t end by submission.

RFA 9 is set for August 16 from the StubHub Center in Los Angeles, CA. A six fight main card airs live on AXS TV.
