By winning back-to-back UFC fights, bantamweight Takeya Mizugaki believes he’s on track to taking on top contenders.
“I do feel like I did step up to the next level but I don’t have a feeling of relief or anything like that,” said Mizugaki to MMA Mania. “I want to ride on this momentum and keep on winning.”
When the WEC ceased operations, Mizugaki joined the UFC. He was 2-2 before his latest win streak with decisions over Jeff Hougland and Bryan Caraway. He drew Erik Perez as his next challenge.
Perez finished all three of his UFC fights within the opening round. That includes a :17 second knockout of Ken Stone.
The two will go at it for UFC on FS1 2. It’s August 28 from Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN.
