For the first time, Invicta FC is headed to pay-per-view with their sixth installment.
While their initial co-main event strawweight championship was scratched when Carla Esparza fell to injury, the card remains solid. The main event features the inaugural featherweight champion being named with some major names in WMMA.
The first championship reign of the featherweight belt will either be Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos or Marloes Coenen. At least there’s the guarantee of a new champion for a $15 show.
Add in the history they bring from Strikeforce and this tiny promotion has jumped hurdles and made an impression in the sport.
Based off their previous cards, this one is just as loaded and having Santos helps. She’s one of the few top females that the UFC wasn’t able to keep once Strikeforce closed.
With the presence of pay-per-view, hopefully the overall look of the show improves. Watching the stream was an issue in the past, but it seems to be cleared up. Each time, the promotion that nobody thought would work has produced better quality TV.
Invicta FC 6 looks like it’s worth the $15. If they’re still on pay-per-view in a decade, it’ll probably cost $50 so enjoy the low budget action for now.
