With Anderson Silva’s loss still fresh in everyone’s mind, the “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung thinks another upset is brewing for UFC 163. The card’s headlined with featherweight champion Jose Aldo defending against Jung.
“Aldo is close to perfect as a fighter and I realize that I have shortcomings in my game,” said Jung to MMA Weekly. “On paper it may not look like a good fight, but in MMA things happen that you can’t predict on paper.”
Jung is confident whether the fight goes to the ground or remains standing. He noted his mental power might be the tool needed to stop Aldo.
Aldo is yet to taste defeat as featherweight. Since winning the belt in 2009, he’s defended it six times out of the WEC and UFC.
When Anthony Pettis fell to injury, Jung was given the nod as the replacement. UFC 163 is August 3 from Brazil’s HSBC Arena.
