Miesha Tate was one of the victims of Ronda Rousey’s first round armbars. When they have their rematch later in the year, Tate is promising Rousey won’t leave the victor thanks to the armbar again.
“Swear to God, she’s not going to armbar me if it’s the last thing I do,” said Tate to MMA Fight Corner. “I will seriously shoot myself in the face before I leave that cage if she armbars me again. That’s what I’m going to do from now until December 28, it’s going to be an anti-judo camp.”
In a title elimination bout, Tate lost to Cat Zingano. An injury allowed Tate to get the next title shot and a spot coaching on The Ultimate Fighter.
Rousey has ended every fight in the first round via armbar.
The rematch is set to headline UFC 168 on December 28. It’s the final card of the year and comes from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
