Tecia Torres is still adapting to the pro WMMA world. She’s been a professional for less than a year with a pair of decision wins for Invicta FC. Missing from her resume is a stoppage.
“I’ve been able to pretty much dominate, but I haven’t been able to get that stoppage or knockout,” said Torres to MMA Junkie. “I’d like to have one of those one of these days and I’m working hard at it.”
The strawweight has defeated Kaiyana Rain and Paige VanZant thanks to the judges. As an amateur, Torres was undefeated with seven wins. The last five fights went to a decision.
She returns for Invicta FC opposite Rose Namajunas. This year, Namajunas improved to 2-0 with two submission wins for the promotion. The last one was a 12 second flying armbar over Rose Namajunas.
They are set for Invicta FC 6 which comes from the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, MO. It’s July 13 and airs on pay-per-view.
