Anderson Silva has been competing in MMA since 1997.
He is currently on a long win streak that includes 10 defenses of the UFC middleweight title. This Saturday night, he’ll attempt to make it 11 when he faces Chris Weidman at UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman.
Recently, Silva signed an extension with the UFC that will likely take him into retirement. However, when he does decide to hang it up remains a mystery.
“I don’t know,” said Silva, when asked about retirement on UFC Tonight Tuesday. “Maybe in 10 more years.”
Silva hasn’t lost since a disqualification defeat at the hands of Yushin Okami back in 2006. He avenged that “loss” by finishing Okami in 2011.
