Ed Soares Embracing RFA Promoter Role

Ed Soares has been busy managing a ton of fighters, which includes longtime UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, and running Resurrection Fighting Alliance (RFA). Still new to the promoter role, Soares is enjoying his time juggling everything.

“I’m really enjoying crossing over and stepping into the promoter role,” said Soares on the Rick J Lee channel. “I enjoy it, like it and am looking forward to a future like this.”

As a promoter, Soares is getting a better understanding of MMA. Soares used to see everything from the fighters’ perspective, but now appreciates the minor details UFC president Dana White must go through to put on a show.

At RFA 8, Sergio Pettis needed less than a minute to finish Joe Pegg for the inaugural flyweight title on June 21. It aired on AXS TV from The Rave/Eagles Club in Milwaukee, WI.
