In five days, it’s UFC 162 with middleweight champion Anderson Silva defending his belt against Chris Weidman. Former Strikeforce middleweight title bearer Ronaldo Jacare thinks Silva keeps his belt.
“I think it will be hard,” said Jacare to TATAME. “I’ve seen Weidman fighting and he is sinister, has an unusual wrestling. But I believe that Anderson has everything to amaze. He’s not the champion of aimlessly.”
It will be the 11th time Silva looks to defend his title and 17th trip inside the Octagon. He’s never lost for the UFC and finished 14 of those wins.
Weidman is undefeated with nine wins and returns off a shoulder injury. He last beat Mark Munoz.
Jacare looks for his second UFC win when he meets Yushin Okami at UFC on FS1 3. It’s on September 4 from Brazil’s Mineirinho Arena.
UFC 162 is Saturday, July 6, from the MGM Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.
