Koji Oishi entered the main event of ONE FC: Rise to Power considered a major underdog to featherweight champion Honorio Banario, but left with the gold. A month later and Oishi still can’t believe it.
“I feel that this is my greatest achievement as a fighter,” said Oishi to MMA Mania. “It has been a while since the fight but it still does not seem real, I am very pleased.”
The win came by knockout in the second round and was Oishi’s third win since the summer of 2012.
Banario is 2-2 for ONE FC with the recent loss. Outside of the promotion, he has another six wins.
