Fight Master Participant Steve Montgomery Felt Exploited On The Show

Steve Montgomery found himself in a situation he wish didn’t happen. Along with friend and training partner Cristiano Souza, they joined Bellator’s reality show Fight Master.

The welterweights made it to the final 32 and hoped if they needed to compete against each other it would occur during the finals. Instead, Bellator had them take on each other to earn a spot in the final 16 and Souza took the decisive win.

“I didn’t even want to be there anymore, having to fight my friend for free to get on the show and try to steal his opportunity and he’s got to steal mine,” said Montgomery to MMA Mania. “This is not right. I felt exploited.”

Montgomery said to be on the lookout for him at some CFA shows during the summer.

The next episode of Fight Master is Wednesday, July 3. For a recap of Montgomery’s episode, click here.
