Showtime Looking At Invicta FC As Potential Strikeforce Replacement

Showtime Sports Executive Vice President and General Manager Stephen Espinoza said the former Strikeforce channel has interest in airing another MMA promotion. FOX Sports Latino reports that Invicta FC is towards the top of the possibilities.

“[Invicta] knows how to make noise and do good-sized events on a budget,” said Espinoza to FOX Sports Latino. “It would be interesting to see what they can do on a bigger platform.”

Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp told MMA Junkie it was an “honor to hear Stephen speak so highly of the Invicta FC product.”

The final Strikeforce show aired in January.

Invicta FC will host their sixth event in two weeks. They held their first show in April 2012. They return on July 13 from the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, MO. It airs on pay-per-view for $14.95.
