The UFC uses a ranking system to help determine the Top 10 of a division and the future No. 1 contender. Light heavyweight Glover Teixeira isn’t enthusiastic about the rankings and remains focused on the task at hand.
“I do not care much for the ranking,” said Teixeira to TATAME.” Second, third or tenth makes no difference. Only the first is what matters.”
Teixeira continues he’s only one or two impressive wins from a shot at champion Jon Jones. Teixeira’s undefeated in the UFC with four wins and three stoppages. He’s piled close to 20 straight wins as he prepares for Ryan Bader.
Bader enters the fight off a 50 second Submission of the Night over Vladimir Matyushenko.
The two are set for UFC on FS1 3 from Brazil’s Mineirinho Arena. It’s Wednesday, September 4.
