Carlos Condit isn’t a rookie anymore since going from the WEC to UFC. Out of a decade of fights, Condit’s favorite was a Knockout of the Night win over Dan Hardy at UFC 120.
“He talked and talked and talked and I just kept my mouth shut,” said Condit to Bleacher Report. “I quietly nodded and smiled at him while he did his thing. Then stepping in there and f—— silencing him was great. Going out there and finishing him and silencing 20,000 people—basically in his backyard—is definitely something that stands out in my mind.”
It came from England’s O2 Arena and served as the co-main event. The win would eventually lead Condit to winning the interim championship. Since then, Condit lost a title unification match to Georges St-Pierre and a No. 1 contender bout with Johny Hendricks.
Condit returns in a rematch against Martin Kampmann at UFC on FS1 2. The first time saw Condit earn a split-decision win.
UFC on FS1 2 is August 28 from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, IN.
