Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal isn’t concerned that his next challenger calls himself “Psycho” as he can get him some Lexapro. Joking aside, Lawal wasn’t impressed with Jacob Noe and recalled a story how they both lost at Bellator 90.
“I seen him backstage after we had both lost our fights and he was crying like a little b—- saying, ‘Man, I just gave up. I quit,’” said Lawal at a Bellator press conference. “I’m not losing to somebody that just gives up. Straight up, when I heard that s—, I knew it then, he wasn’t a real fighter.”
The two are set for Bellator 97 where they conclude a four person light heavyweight tournament. Lawal defeated Seth Petruzelli in one round and Renato Sobral was KO’d by Noe in the third. After both fights, the loser announced their retirement.
Bellator 97 is July 31 from Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, NM. It will be the final show of the 2013 Summer Series.
