The first week of Bellator’s new reality show Fight Master didn’t do well in the ratings, coming in with 432,000 viewers. There was a 25 percent change with episode two improving to 545,000 viewers.
The season premiere followed the conclusion of Bellator 96 and went against the NHL’s Stanley Cup Finals, a major reason Spike TV blamed for the low numbers.
On the second episode, several more welterweights competed to make the final 16. The concept is the fighters select their coaches. Episode three is expected to finalize the cast.
The winner takes $100,000 and a guaranteed tournament spot.
