Anderson Silva, Paul Daley, Miesha Tate: The Morning News Roundup – 6.26.13

Wednesday is here, and with it comes another edition of the roundup. We’ve got a number of interesting stories today, including an extended preview of UFC 162, the latest on Paul Daley’s legal woes, and a big announcement from Miesha Tate. Plus we’ll link you to a funny review of the new MMA-themed movie Tapped. Here are the headlines:

• UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will take on highly touted challenger Chris Weidman on July 6th, broadcasting live from Las Vegas, NV. Here’s the UFC’s newest preview to give you some more background around the fight.

• Daley has been unable to fight in the USA due to visa issues, but the legal proceedings that were being brought against him have now been thrown out. Hopefully we can expect the hard-hitting Brit to return to action in the near future.

• Tate will be posing in ESPN’s “The Body” issue, following in the footsteps of Gina Carano and Ronda Rousey. Previous photo shoots have been pretty memorable, and it’s unlikely that Tate’s will be any different.

Tapped has appearances from Anderson and Black House teammate Lyoto Machida, and also features many of the standard clichés we’ve come to expect from a low-budget MMA film. Check out the review if you need a chuckle.
