Nick Diaz, the promoter, has a successful show under his name. The first WAR MMA show was yesterday, June 22, and came from Diaz’s hometown of Stockton, CA.
The main event saw Justin Baesman improve to 14-3 with his split-decision win against former UFC fighter Daniel Roberts. Following three straight losses, Roberts was released by the UFC posting a 4-3 record.
Diaz has stated he’s retired unless offered a rematch with Georges St-Pierre or a bout with middleweight champion Anderson Silva.
The inaugural WAR MMA event came from the Stockton Arena and had a dozen fights. Below are the results.
