Brazil’s Glover Teixeira will look to continue his dominate UFC run and September seems to be his return date inside the Octagon.
“I want to know what’s next for me, too,” said Teixeira to MMA Junkie. “I think I might be fighting in September. They asked me if I’d be ready. We’ll probably hear soon who I’m going to fight, and I’m sure it will be great.”
When he joined the UFC, Teixeira already had a win streak that was in double digits. He’s added several more notches to his name with defeats against Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and James Te Huna this year.
There has been interest on Teixeira’s part about taking on Rashad Evans in the near future. Evans just took a split-decision win over Dan Henderson.
Teixeira was offered Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, but he turned it down. Nothing has been confirmed for Teixeira’s return.
