Sergio Pettis earned a first round knockout victory Friday night in the main event of Resurrection Fighting Alliance 8, netting himself the RFA flyweight title.
Pettis, the 19-year-old brother of UFC contender Anthony Pettis, dropped Dillard Pegg with a vicious right hand at the 51-second mark of the first round. He was originally scheduled to face Jeff Curran, but the UFC vet pulled out of the match.
In the co-main event, fellow rising prospect Lance Palmer claimed the featherweight title from Jared Downing via split decision.
