Bellator 96, Fight Master Draw Lowest Viewership Since Joining Spike TV

Bellator was back on Spike TV with the start of their 2013 Summer Series and the debut of their new reality show Fight Master.

Bellator 96 averaged 480,000 viewers and Fight Master, which followed, came in at 432,000 viewers.

Both shows went against Game 3 of the NHL’s Stanley Cup, which Spike TV’s Vice President of Communications David Schwarz credited to the low numbers.

“A good chunk of those viewers, when asking where did [Bellator’s viewers] go, went to the NHL,” said Schwarz. “Our research has shown that there is a lot of crossover between MMA fans and hockey fans.”

A few months back during Season 8, Bellator was averaging around 800,000 viewers per live show.
